Double up outfitters fly fishing guides in Missoula Montana

WHAT TO BRING:

8 to 9 ft. 5-6 weight Rods
These seem to be the best all around set-ups.Weight Forward or Double Taper line.We of course use some smaller weight rods on occasion.

Breathable Waders and good Wading Boots
Neoprene is fine in the early and late part of our season. Not big fans of hip waders

Rental rods & reels, as well as boots and waders are available

Polarized Sunglasses and a Hat

These are a must bring items!

Good Quality Rain Gear

This is Montana, so even in the summer months, be prepared

Sun block/ Bug spray
Spring, summer & fall, we are close to the sunshine here! Luckily, we only have about 2 dozen mosquito's in MT, but in early summer 23 of them have been known to find us at the same time!

Clothing
Our motto is the old saying that, "There's no bad weather, just bad equipment!"
Just plan on dressing in layers. Right down to shorts & T's in the summer. Even a wool hat & fingerless  gloves in the early and late seasons.

Please make sure to bring any special medications you need, and let us know of any allergies to food, insects, etc.
